Memorial Day BBQ Lunch at the Elks Lodge

Immediately after the Dillon Cemetery Service a BBQ Lunch will be served at the Elks Lodge, Noon – 2 p.m. in aid of veterans’ support programs. $10 per adult, $5 per child under 12. Your support would be appreciated – contact Liz Wickert for more information.

Summit GOP Women Meeting

Our May meeting will be held Wednesday, May 12^th, 5:30 pm at the home of Lindsay Backas, 0112 Creekside Drive in Blue River. (directions follow) Please join us to discuss the upcoming 4^th of July Parade and the Republican Picnic. (see info below)

Note two sets of directions.  One if Blue River Bridge is closed for replacement and the other if the road isn’t closed yet.

Directions if the bridge isn’t closed..

Go South on Rt. 9 through Breckenridge.  Approximately 3.7 miles from the Conoco station @ Boreas Pass Rd, to Blue River Rd.  There is a Red Small A-frame on the left just before Blue River Road.  Make a left onto Blue River Road.  Take the second right onto Grey Squirrel.  The road splits keep left on Grey Squirrel.  My house is the third house on the right. Park in the driveway or on the street directly across from the house.

Go South on Rt. 9 through Breckenridge.  Approximately 4.5 miles from the Conoco station @ Boreas Pass Rd to Blue Grouse which will be on the left and will be marked as the detour.  Make a left onto Blue Grouse and follow the road to Mountain View.  Make a left  on to  Mountain View Rd follow to Blue River Road.  Make a right on to Blue River Rd and then a right onto Grey Squirrel.  The road splits immediately, stay left on Grey Squirrel.  My house is the third house on the right.  Park in the driveway or on the street directly across from the house.

June 17-19   Frisco BBQ.  Watch for information on Republican participation in this annual event. Volunteer opportunities will be available!

Saturday, July 4^th 4^th of July Parades in Breckenridge & Frisco.  Details to follow – plan to march with the Republicans and our candidates in either or both of these parades

Saturday, July 17^th Summit County Republicans Pig Roast Picnic, Noon to 4 pm, TYL Ranch, Silverthorne.  GOP Women will assist with set-up beginning at 10:30 am.  We will also be asking for donations of desserts and ingredients to make vegetarian baked beans.  Other items that will be needed are crock pots, electrical strips and extension cords.  Please contact Diane Thaemert (390-5582 or DIANETHAEMERT@JUNO.COM) if you have other items you can donate – (i.e. large paper plates, paper cups, plastic silverware, napkins)
