The Summit County Republican Caucus drew an enthusiastic group of Republicans.   The bi-annual organizing event for the Republicans sets the stage for the upcoming 2010 elections.  Caucus activities included speeches from candidates, a straw poll, consideration of resolutions, election of precinct chairs and election of delegates to the county assembly.

Speeches were heard from surrogates for Scott McInnis, Dan Maes, Ken Buck & Ali Hasan.  And, the following candidates also spoke:

Darcy Lystlund, County Commissioner, district 2

John Minor, Sheriff

JoAnn Richardson, Coroner

Kathy Neel, Clerk & Recorder
